Making Good, and Danger?

MAJOR UPDATE BELOW! Already facing quite a bit of backlash from consultants, LuLaRoe's new Make It Good Program is facing more serious issues this morning. It was reported to MommyGyver when a customer submits a claim for a return online, home office responds with an email and information for a consultant in their area to begin the return process. Sounds fantastic, right? First, many consultants are saying that they choose not to participate in this program- fearing the financial burden on themselves will be too great to survive while they wait for their refund from HO directly. But next, and more alarming is how much information is released by home office without the consultant's permission. In a screenshot of an email provided to MommyGyver, the consultant's name, address, and other contact information is reportedly provided. (The screenshot provided was already edited) MommyGyver is investigating to confirm or deny this claim. The party that contacted us was extremely disturbed by this rumor, as her husband is in law enforcement, and his address and info is intentionally redacted to protect his family. That isn't the case here. LuLaRoe reps are stating they did not give LLR authorization to release their information, and to what extent. Further, many will be opting out, causing unnecessary footwork for the customer seeking a return or replacement. UPDATE!!! LuLaRoe has a retailer map where a customer can input their zipcode and find retailers in their area. Once you select a retailer, you can click "get directions to here", input your address, and be directed right to the retailer's place of business, which in most cases, is her home. Some retailers report that it takes them to a completely different address altogether. But can you imagine a disgruntled customer showing up at a door, thinking it's yours, and it's an uninvolved party? MommyGyver has verified this with local zipcode and retailer selection. Also, several consultants contacted to provide screen shots of their addresses on the map and claim they did not authorize it. My heart stopped. As a consultant that never made the map, I am sick to my stomach to think someone had the ability to potentially come right to my door unannounced. I can understand listing town or zipcode, but directions right to the person's home? What of those reps that tout they have 2-3000 pieces of inventory? Is that just not begging to be burglarized? In effort to report factual information on the email in question, MommyGyver submitted a claim and I am now waiting for a response email to verify this information firsthand. I will update this post as soon as a response is delivered.

***4/26/17 Update: MommyGyver is investigating the possibility that the consultant information being shared is somehow authorized by the consultant*** FOR CONSULTANTS WISHING TO GET OFF OF THE MAP- Please contact Home Office to request an IT ticket be put in to remove your information. We are hearing that the turnaround time is several days.
