See No Evil
The direction from LLR has always been for consultants to never speak poorly about the company. Especially not publicly. The issue with this policy is that questions and real concerns brought to light by said consultants tend to be hushed. Any negativity on group, team, and mentor pages is either not approved, not responded to, met with more negativity (this time toward the person expressing a concern) or my personal favorite- deleted and the commenting party is removed, banned, blocked, and orphaned by their upline. But who cares? She's still making her % off your hard work. She just doesn't have to listen to you anymore. So let's talk about that upline investment into your "business". Below are two screen shots taken yesterday by a member of Joelle's team. Generally, members have reported that she's aloof, dismissive, and condescending to those that express concerns. When her team begins to get riled up over something, she's known to sing in live videos- "It's the end of the world as we know it..." One of the videos published in this blog shows the singing, and the threat that if you're complaining, you're getting removed. Gee, and I thought Stalin died a long time ago. More and more, consultants are stepping forward in droves to complain about mistreatment and verbal abuse. I use that term with consideration of the stories I'm being told. The constant victim blaming, shaming, and eventual shunning. Friends blocking friends because the "failure" doesn't fit into her LuLaWorld, and therefore- a life long friendship is destroyed. Over leggings. Jesus, didn't we give you the wheel a while ago? Why aren't you driving this bus back yet? The constant reaffirmation that this "business" is yours shifts responsibility for actions the company should be taking to represent the brand and the thousands of women that are investing- and heavily, into the future of this company. The more doubt that grows, the more bleak the outcome looks to be. Remember, this isn't about "taking down LLR". This is about insisting that LLR see the issues and address them. Blogs like this exist because there is an issue. Mentors like Joelle instructing their downline to not read about the issues is irresponsible. In every business, if it's really YOUR business, or you're just paying for the privilege to hock leggings out of your basement or Buick, there are positives and negatives. I find it laughable that blogs like mine publish actual video, screen shots, and communication GIVEN TO US by concerned consultants- information that comes from the company- either home office or the leadership- it is still reflective of the business and therefore the tone of the environment these women have to work in. You know you're striking a nerve when power sellers and leaders spend time putting down people that just share THEIR words. If your words are scripture, then shouldn't blogs like this be considered "preaching"? If the intention is so true, why is it met with- DO NOT CLICK THAT LINK. No. You just click that link. You click it until it breaks. You read, ask questions, and go back and ask them your questions. You are entitled to answers. Blogs like this exist to help you get them. If your mentor doesn't like it- mayyyyyybe she should rethink why her team is sending us things like this anyway. Just a thought.
