Retail Roe
If you signed up to sell LuLaRoe, then you know you must abide by the policy and procedures the company hands out with the enrollment application. In the policy and procedure manual, LuLaRoe expressly prohibits an independently contracted salesperson from opening a retail store. A retail store is defined as a storefront in a commercial space. A mall, strip mall, retail zoned freestanding building, kiosk, etc. It has been a huge point of contention for retailers as rumors have flown for some time that retail locations DO exist. Supposedly, they are done without LuLaRoe's permission and are shut down. The exclusion of retail as an outlet for these mini-entrepreneurs is explained as a way they "level the playing field" for all to start on the same footing and ensure everyone's success. So what happens when LuLaRoe itself decides to open a retail store themselves? Don't think it will happen? Here are some links to Corona, California city documents that show that LuLaRoe intends to do business by way of opening their own corporate retail location(s). Read them for yourselves. For those local to the Corona area, why not pop in to the next meeting scheduled and say hi? It seems the city is interested in the projected sales tax revenue that LuLaRoe could bring in. I guess the didn't get the memo that they don't exactly pay sales tax properly... hmmm....
No one was there to object or speak to this topic at the meeting, so it was passed. Might want to keep an eye on the local government pages, should Lularoe decide to apply for something else within the city. https://www.coronaca.gov/home/showdocument?id=5465 https://www.coronaca.gov/Home/ShowDocument?id=5473
