Deaf People are "Retarded" According to Rebecca
I shared an article I wrote a couple of days ago about a woman named Marie who alleged discrimination at a LuLaRoe rep, Amber Jones- who essentially ignored her requests to see a specific size during a live sale- after she said repeatedly- "I am deaf". Many people took to supporting Marie. Several did not. On my MommyGyver Facebook page, I shared a follow up post- showing a screenshot I took myself of a woman named Rebecca calling this deaf woman "entitled", "twatwaffle", and "retarded". Nice. Really. Here's the screenshot:
To those that stood up for Marie, Rebecca sent messages like this:
She's a true gem. No doubt the joy of her father's life, and the reason for love sparkling in in her mother's eyes. I shared the first post above- not to target Rebecca at all. But to show the level of cruelty Marie was enduring for speaking up against discrimination. Rebecca's response? Send MommyGyver threatening emails from an alt account.
So let's keep score for just a moment. She goes after a deaf woman, insults her... threatens me, then tries to justify her actions against the deaf woman by alleging she's a "junkie". Because anyone with disabilities who may also have substance abuse issues or struggle with addiction is less than a person and deserves that kind of treatment? Oh but wait... A quickie Google search shows that this special lil' lady hasn't pissed off people for the first time. Check out her choice word selections covered in these articles by TurtleBoy HERE and HERE Just to make her point, she did exactly what she said she'd do and had MommyGyver's main admin's personal page blocked from posting, messaging, and commenting- for simply sharing her words that she was so proud to spit out all over a deaf woman's page. If you know her, let her know that what we do on the internet can haunt us forever. Trolling may give you a little thrill, but it often bites us back in our real lives... like family, work, and more. I wonder if hateful, disgusting word spitting is more important to her than having a somewhat happy life? What does trolling a deaf woman accomplish other than help document a trail of cyber trolling, threats, and hate speech?
